Import from a spreadsheet

Bring an existing building across in three passes — units, then tenants, then the deposits already held. Each file is checked before anything is written, and re-uploading the same file will not duplicate what is already here.

Units
One row per unit. Names have to be unique within the property — they are what the other two files refer to.

Tenants
One row per tenancy, referencing the unit by name. Leave the dates blank for a twelve month term starting today, and put any arrears they arrived with in the opening balance column.

Deposits held
One row per deposit, so a tenant holding a security and a water deposit gets two rows. The type has to match one set up under Deposits first.
